Amit is a Clinical Psychologist and has been working as a psychologist for over 10 years. During this time, Amit has gained experience in a number of specialist areas within Mental Health ACT having worked in Adult Community, Forensic Mental Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health, and the Crisis Assessment and Treatment Team. Amit has experience working in educational settings within schools in the ACT. Amit has also guest lectured on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology at the Canberra Hospital Paediatrics Ward, Grand Rounds and at the Department of Education. Amit was a member of the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Ethics Committee and has an interest in human potential.

Amit works in a therapeutic capacity for a diverse range of clients including: children, adolescents, adults, older adults and couples who are experiencing a wide range of personal, emotional and behavioural issues.

Amit is well versed in various therapeutic modalities including: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Schema Therapy. Amit takes a respectful, compassionate and non-judgemental approach in working with clients to assist them in moving towards their goals.

Amit is registered with Medicare as a provider of clinical psychological therapy services and as such clients will be eligible to obtain a rebate from Medicare or their health insurance provider, where applicable.
