Senior Clinical Psychologist

B. App Psych, Grad Dip. Psych, M. Clin Psych

Kate is a Clinical Psychologist, with experience in both the public and private systems. Kate works with clients across a broad spectrum of personal and emotional issues including, but not limited to, stressanxiety and depression, adjustment, grief and loss, suicide bereavement, gender/sexuality/identity and couples therapy. Kate has previously worked for both Queensland Health and ACT Health, as well as in private practice.

Kate is eclectic in her approach and uses her training in various psychological approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural TherapySolution Focussed Brief Therapy, Narrative TherapyReality Therapy and Couples Therapy. Kate believes strongly in client-centred ideas of empathy, unconditional positive regard and genuineness and believes that the therapeutic relationship is a key part of the process.

Kate is passionate about helping clients obtain insight into their lives and finding what is needed to assist with making positive change. Kate is compassionate, supportive and non-judgmental.

She looks forward to working with individuals and couples from all backgrounds, including those who identify as being from the LGBTQIA+ community.
