Lisa is a Registered Psychologist with a Ph.D. in mental health. She has a diverse work background and broad life experience that have given her a valuable understanding of various issues and contexts.
As a psychologist, Lisa has worked in a variety of community settings. This has involved providing therapeutic assistance to people facing crises and challenges in the workplace and their personal lives, experiencing a broad range of emotional and behavioural issues. She has worked in services providing individual and group therapy to people experiencing addiction to alcohol and drugs, including assisting highly functioning people towards their goals of substantial reduction or abstinence. Lisa’s experience working with older adults in the community has included managing mental health needs in the context of age-related conditions such as dementia and broad grief and loss.
Lisa is passionate about holistic wellbeing and improving personal and occupational functioning. She takes a down-to-earth, collaborative, non-judgemental and flexible approach focused on the individual’s goals and needs. She assists clients using a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, with an emphasis on values and strengths-based approaches.
Lisa works with individual adults/older adults. As a registered Medicare provider, clients will be eligible to obtain a rebate from Medicare or their health insurance provider, where applicable.
