#134 – Dr Jodie Fleming on Chronic Illness Management and Psycho-Oncology

In this episode of Better Thinking, Nesh Nikolic speaks with Dr Jodie Fleming about understanding chronic illness management to finding values during difficult times.

Jodie Fleming is a Clinical & Health Psychologist with a special interest in chronic illness management and psycho-oncology. Jodie interned in the Psycho-oncology service at The Mater Hospital and worked at the John Hunter Children’s Cancer Hospital in Newcastle NSW.

She has also worked in an outpatient mental health service and in a hospital rehabilitation ward treating patients with a variety of health conditions including cancer, diabetes, stroke, chronic pain to name a few. Jodie has also been involved in the Oncology Rehabilitation program at “St John of God Healthcare” and current runs the psychology sessions in the Survivorship Program at South West Health Care.
