Bronwyn first registered as a Psychologist in 2002 before taking her skills into another allied health role where she specialised in working with clients who had suffered from a debilitating injury or were navigating challenges related to pain management. This role required her to work alongside multidisciplinary teams comprising doctors, medical specialists, rehabilitation providers, physical therapists, and workplace representatives, ensuring comprehensive care and optimal outcomes for her clients. Although remaining passionate about supporting clients in a multi-disciplinary team, Bronwyn has returned to supporting clients specifically with their psychology.
Bronwyn’s dedication to innovation and holistic care is evident in her previous role where she was instrumental in developing an early intervention program for front line employees who were struggling after exposure to a stressful situation(s). This program has showcased remarkable results in improving employee well-being.
Bronwyn’s therapeutic approach is founded on collaboration, as she firmly believes in empowering her clients to embark on a journey of self-improvement to overcome barriers thereby enhancing their participation in life activities. Drawing from her diverse skill set, she employs a range of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Bronwyn’s expertise extends beyond her work as a Psychologist and physical therapist. She is a former member of the Australian Rowing Team and represented her country from 1996 to 2000. This included participation in the Olympic Rowing Teams in 1996 and 2000 where both times she was a finalist in the Women’s eight. This athletic background provides Bronwyn with a unique understanding of the psychological challenges and performance demands faced by athletes and it has greatly influenced her approach to helping clients achieve their goals.
