Fiona holds a Philosophy Doctorate (PhD) in Educational Psychology from the University of Sydney. She is a registered psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Medicare Australia and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi).
Since 1990 Fiona has studied or worked in psychology (with a few years in the public service). She has worked as a psychology research assistant, lecturer in educational psychology, school psychologist, and as a private practice therapist.
Fiona aims to facilitate a therapeutic relationship focused on building a positive rapport with clients in a caring and empathetic manner. The goal of her therapy sessions is to increase client self-understanding, teach coping skills for change, and encourage self-learning.
She utilises Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Fiona assists children, adolescents and adults with anxiety and depression.
