Patricia is a Clinical Psychologist and has worked as a psychologist for over 30 years. Patricia has worked in a variety of areas including the public hospital system and the private sector. She has a background in providing clinical assessment and psychological interventions for a wide range of mental health conditions, for example depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, stress management, grief & loss, and adjustment to illness. She has gained significant experience in specialist areas of Pain Management, Trauma including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Cancer Support, Eating Disorders, Personality Disorder and Management of Acute and Chronic conditions in Children and Adolescents and Adults.
Patricia holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and is member of the Australian Psychological Society, Fellow of the APS College of Clinical Psychologists and member of the Association for Contextual Behavioural Science.
Patricia has guest lectured at the Australian National University and University of Canberra and multiple mental health forums within ACT Health. Patricia has also an extensive experience providing supervision to Provisional and Registered psychologists over the last 15 years.
Patricia is passionate about empowering and helping people with managing transitions, increasing coping skills and providing support and building resilience and autonomy through difficult times. Patricia works in a therapeutic capacity for adults and older adults who are experiencing personal, emotional, and behavioural problems.
Patricia uses a variety of evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focussed Brief Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
