Stuart Brell

Senior Registered Psychologist

B.A (Hum), B.Psy (Hons), AAPI

Stuart has held full registration as a psychologist since 2011 and is a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists. Stuart has considerable experience helping people develop and repair their wellbeing, resilience and essential strengths and work toward overcoming their psychological difficulties.

Originally from Queensland, Stuart has manual trade(s) experience, with quite varied occupation and life experience. Stuart was a clinician in emergency, hospital and community mental health areas with broad experience in government at Federal, State and Territory levels.

Stuart is a collaborative therapist that likes to help with adjustment and life transitions, change, grief, work, occupation difficulties, depression, anxiety, coping and physical health conditions, pain and age-related change. Stuart is pluralist in the use of various therapeutic approaches including Acceptance & Commitment  Therapy ACT, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, with a deeper interest in existential themes nascent to all life experience.

Stuart is a down-to-earth, plain-speaking clinician with a very broad background who knows that people do not need experts to tell them what a meaningful life is. But sometimes, help or support may be needed to find, identify and articulate alternative perspectives, new ways of viewing the world, or navigating ways through difficulty.

Stuart sees clients aged 30+
